Day 10 - Porto: More Yellow Bus-ing (with audio), More Walking, Bacalhau... And Another Porto Night

After all my early mornings here in Porto it felt good to sleep in a bit. Plans were to have some free hotel breakfast, use the 2nd day of my Yellow Bus tour pass to do each of the two tours in their totality (while listening to audio the whole time), do some final souvenir shopping, consume some bacalhau (cod), and figure out what the rest of my Portugal travel plans are to be.

Everything pretty much went according to plan.  The full audio tours really gave me a greater appreciation of Porto. I still trip out on just how much history is here in Europe -- so different from the US. I also took a lot more pics (like 180+ ... #dointoomuch).

So, the bacalhau.  The restaurant I ended up at had quite a few different preparations, and I ended up ordering the Bacalhau a Lagureiro, or Cod in Olive Oil. It was a huge piece of codfish sauteed with olive oil, garlic and some peppers (peppers were more garnish) with "punched" potatoes and some greens. It was rich, indulgent... great. I was told that the quality of the seafood in Porto is supposed to be top-notch, and this was definitely some good fish. Not entirely used to being served bone-in fish, but I managed.

After dinner I decided to go back to the room and confirm another night at the Porto hotel. I ultimately decided a car rental down the length of Portugal with a night or two stopover in between sounded like too much work -- I decided I was just going to train it down to Lisbon on Monday morning. So, another Porto hotel night confirmed, and I was able to again rest my sore, tired patas.

(One block of) The walk back:
